warm & strongUntil late summer, the bees collect the tiniest droplets of honeydew from the leaves, needles and other plant parts, as well as the nectar from blooming forest flowers. From this they prepare a dark, strong forest honey with a slightly resinous note. This honey speciality with a strong character is produced in the extensive, deep green high forests and extensive forest areas in southern Germany.
Grape-growing region --- Southern Germany (in forest areas such as the Odenwald, the Fichtelgebirge, the Black Forest and the Bavarian Forest)
Harvest calendar --- mid-July to mid-September
Traditional medicinal effect --- soothing for irritation of the respiratory tract
