Spelt sourdough extract
Our spelt sourdough extract is characterized by its mild, delicately spicy aroma and brings the delicious, delicately nutty taste of spelt to a freshly baked loaf.
Please still add (for 2 loaves): 1kg flour (your choice), 18g baker's yeast #2, 750ml water, 2TL salt.
Preparation:
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Knead the dough for 6 minutes.
- Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for 45 minutes.
- Shape the dough, cover it with flour (to make it less sticky) and put it in a mold.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200° top/bottom heat; after placing the loaves in the oven, put 40 ml of water in a container on the bottom rack; let the bread bake for 60 minutes.
- Let the bread cool down.
Tip: To refine the bread, you can add various nuts, seeds or seeds, but also bread spices.
