Rye sourdough extract



Our rye sourdough extract refines your homemade bread with the strong and aromatic hearty taste of rye.

Please still add (for 2 loaves): 1kg flour (your choice), 18g baker's yeast #2, 750ml water, 2TL salt. 

Preparation: 

  1. Mix all the ingredients together.
  2. Knead the dough for 6 minutes.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for 45 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough, cover it with flour (to make it less sticky) and put it in a mold.
  5. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200° top/bottom heat; after placing the loaves in the oven, put 40 ml of water in a container on the bottom rack; let the bread bake for 60 minutes.
  7. Let the bread cool down.

Tip: To refine the breads, you can add various nuts and seeds, but also bread spices.
