Organic heather honey
Organic heather honey
fine tart, intenseIn late summer, a wonderful natural spectacle occurs in the northern German heath landscape. Vast, delicate purple seas of flowers emerge and form a picturesque contrast to the dark green Douglas firs, red oaks and sand pines. The bees prepare a special honey full of character and noble tartness from the nectar of the small heather blossom bells of the broom heather (Calluna vulgaris).
