Locust bean gum



Our carob bean gum is a vegetable, gluten-free thickener made from the seeds of the carob tree.

Dosage: Depending on the desired binding, stir 1-2 tsp carob bean gum into 1/2 liter of cold or warm liquid. Allow cold foods to swell.

Note on use:

For cold dishes such as cold bowls, dips and cold desserts.

For hot dishes such as soups, egg-free casseroles and vegetable dishes.

Keeps lemonades and juice spritzers clear.

Tip: Locust bean gum is also suitable for binding ice cream. It prevents the formation of crystals and makes the ice cream particularly creamy.
